Scott joined the Evergreen staff in January of 2003. As a Lead Pastor of Administration, and an Elder, Scott works with the Family life and Facility Executives. His calling to ministry began to take shape as he finished high school and was confirmed during his freshman year at Baylor. Over the years, he served as a volunteer music leader in youth and college ministries, and worked as a music intern while attending Baylor and Southwestern Seminary. Before coming to Evergreen, he served full-time at churches in Alabama and the Tulsa area. Scott holds a Bachelor of Music from Baylor University and a Master of Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He married his wife, Martha, in July of 1985, and together they have five adult children and five wonderful grandchildren. His favorite pastime is simply spending time with Martha—whether they’re traveling, out and about in town, or just enjoying a quiet day at home.
